Title: need some help, newbie here
Post by: Quick_Draw_McGraw on October 14, 2008, 12:29:03 PM: ok so after reading into it i see that duck hunting is rather hard for someone that is a greenhorn to go out and just pop off some rounds hoping to get a few.

so im trying to find some good area's to go grouse or pheasant hunting. i live just south of seattle, basically sea-tac airport, and was wondering if there are any decent places within about 1.5hour drive that i can do to to try to find some.

i was planning on using my H&R single shot 20gauge with a full choke and 7.5ounce shot.

like i said ive NEVER been hunting for anything before and would like to just get out in the woods and see what i can get. so any information on this would be GREATLY appreciated.

1.5 hrs will get you to some pheasant release sites as well as take you to some areas you could walk for grouse.
