Title: Frabill Crawfish Traps
Post by: xd2005 on June 18, 2013, 11:51:43 AM
So I've seen the round Frabill crawfish traps and thought of getting one. If I understand the regs correctly, it seems if I were to use the trap as the Frabill instructions indicated, it would be illegal. Am I understanding correctly?

My thought was that instead of using the clip they provide to close the non- hinged side, using a loop of cord. Then, connect the provided clip somewhere else and attach the rope to it. Would that then by sufficient?  Thanks.

that is correct do not use the clip on your trap if it connects it since it meets in the middle, but use the rot cord.
