My boys and I drew muzzle Coweeman cow tags. I'm looking for info on the unit, I want GPS and honey holes, no general info, that's wasted on me. I would prefer someone to take me out and show me their areas so I don't have to waste my tire wear and gas..........................Oh I forgot I live in the unit, so forget info just send me gas money. I need to borrow a muzzleloader, I prefer a stainless inline no old style hawkens. :)

Thats awesome! Check is in the mail...along with my TC.

I am guessing the easiest place for you to hunt is right outside your door and slightly to the left! :chuckle:
That's sweet you pulled tags right at home!
...oh I forgot there are no good elk left there... hoof rot wiped them all out! :hello:

:chuckle: :chuckle: nice one Ryan.

If you get more gas money than you can spare can you send some my way? I live 4 hours North of you. I have no time or money to scout, so I'd appreciate some GPS cordenentz. Oh who am I kidding, I couldn't decipher a GPS cordanent and more than I could spell it! Just draw me some pictures that point to the cows. They are the ones without horns right?

Congrats on all those tags!! Sounds like you'll be having tons of fun! Hoping to thin the herd of a skinny hoof rotted cow for me w/ my Jan tag. :bfg:

My wife got cow tag for this unit with 8 points. She is 6o and Iam 64. Do we stand a very good chance to fill this tag? We can do some hiking, dont plan on being a road hunter. Just wanted a little advice. We live near Mt. Vernon so we will be camping. Thanks for any input.

I am sure the boys will help you out :dunno: :chuckle: Should be no problem as long as they did not kill them all last year ...we were there 1 1/2 days ...the first day all we seen were bulls :yike: then the second day was over shortly :chuckle: ALL ..Wait a minute ...3 posts ...you may need to work on them a little :dunno: :chuckle: :chuckle:

GPS route is in route. And how big of an elk do you want? :chuckle:

I'm looking for 3 3-4 year old cows with 4 good feet. :chuckle: I've killed lead cows, not doing that again. Hunter 61, did you draw rifle or muzzle? I only plan on shooting a cow if she is above the road within 100 yards or literally in my front yard, I've packed enough bulls out of holes I will not be busting my ass for cows. There is no camping on the St. helens tree farm on the Weyco land, you can camp on the limited state land. There are a couple of private fee campgrounds along the Kalama River. Gates will open for rifle deer and you will be able to get out and scout then.

My boys and I tagged out 3 for 3 late muzzle cow tags. Fun hunt with the boys, my son Jacks first elk hunt and elk. 2 had good feet 1 with hoof rot. All of the cows were close to the same age class and killed in the same general area, the one with hoof rot had less muscle mass and just wasn't as healthy looking. I hope the game department can get a handle on this disease. No pics sorry, the boys didn't want any taken, their hunt, their kill, their call.
I never did recieve any gas money WTH!
