Title: backcountry trip sucess
Post by: high country on October 15, 2008, 08:15:49 AM: well I am short on time, but after packing in for 4 days we came out with one buck one bear and a few stories. I shot the second class buck to let my buddy take the bruiser (he has not taken any big un's) and well.............he choked. the big dude was fighting mine, or kicking his arse might be more like it.

4 days, never saw a single hunter and gobbs of deer............all public land.

Post by: high country on October 15, 2008, 06:00:21 PM: still tight on time, but it is a sherman buck. 9 miles from the trailhead and ALL uphill :bash: but once again, not a single other hunter.....worth the 5 hour hump into camp ;)

on the bear, I took my vid camera and did a video doc on cleaning/skinning/boning and burned all of my batts, so as of yet I have no good pics of the bear...more as soon as I can get a sec.....I am swamped.

yeppers, tis a mulie.
