Post by: dis_pat_ on June 20, 2013, 09:43:47 AM: Drew after 18 years. Looking for advice, where to scout, where to camp, anyone local who might assist retrieving a moose, etc.

There's a guy on here that really knows that area maybe he will come forth and lend a hand . he gave us good intell last year but It's not my place to give up his back yard . congrtats do your work and you will be good to go.

Post by: bearpaw on June 20, 2013, 03:38:00 PM: Lots of moose, we videoed the two young bulls in the first photo fighting right after I snapped this photo. Lots of young bulls, one day we called in 3 bulls all at once, one was almost a shooter but we passed him. We killed the bull shown, he had a weak side due to an old wound, but Marty wanted him anyway after seeing his good side. A lot of the unit is private, so hunt the state and timber lands and you should do fine. If you hunt Inland Paper you will need a permit. Just google their name and you can see where they sell permits. Good Luck :tup:
