Title: Old Weavers new scope?
Post by: Mongo Hunter on June 21, 2013, 09:34:34 AM: Hey guy a couple weeks back my dad asked what set up I had on my 30-06. I told him it had an old weaver scope bases and rings, from the looks of it. found out he bought me a new scope for my birthday (Leupold VX-1 3-9x50) and a set of new rings for the scope (Leupold high PRW's).

my question is are the old weaver bases the same as the new? will the rings fit the old style bases? I haven't removed the old set up yet to check to see if there is a cross slot or not. any help would be awesome guys. I will of course check when I get home but if I don't ask it will grind on me all day at work and I wont be able to think about anything else! LOL. :bash:
