Title: AMBER ALERT: my daughter is missing
Post by: rebal69972 on June 22, 2013, 02:15:30 PM: we have just finished a move back to Missouri and my wife just deployed. last night my 13 y/o daughter had a soft ball game after witch we stayed for my sons (14) game. we got home around 23:15 in bed by 23:30. I woke up around 0700 this morning and let my 13 y/o daughter sleep in but when I went to wake her she was not in her bed. not in the house on the property or around town. we live in a town of 700 and no one has seen her. my security system was unplugged from the inside none of her stuff is gone purse shoes clothes nothing.i have called the cops the have an amber alert out. we are in Missouri. I just have to get it out. im scared to death

Talk to all her friends where you live now.
Call all her friends where you used to live.
Find out if any of her friends think she was unhappy or if she was wanting to go back where you used to live.
Ask if she has any boy friends or any older boys/men that have been friendly to her.
Find and talk to those people and give a list to the authorities.
Does she have a facebook page? If so, post on her facebook page asking her friends for help. Also try to get into her account and read her messages and posts to see if there is anything suspicious.
Do a facebook search for her name even if you don't she had a FB page.

Ask all her friends and anyone you can on facebook to pass her picture around to everyone asking if anyone has seen her.

Let us know when you have something on facebook and where to find it and we can all share it on our pages. Social media can spread her photo faster than you can imagine. I would make mention of where she disappeared from and where you used to live.

If you want, post her photo on here and I will sticky this topic so it stays on top.

Please keep us posted..... let us know how we can help.

She might be trying to go back to where all her friends are, being 13 years old--I can imagine what a panic situation you are going through. It must be hard to be uprooted at 13 years of age.... :sry:

I shared this and I know how amber alerts dont get issued very often if they think the kid ran away, or at a certain age enough time hasnt elapsed...basically amber alerts are only issued in cases of KNOWN abduction....so figure I will share the pic the police dept has I have dog show friends in MO and they know people so we will get this out in front of as many people as we can.....

But, if an abduction has taken place or if she is traveling across the country, you need people watching for her everywhere. The sooner the word gets out, the better the chances of finding her.

Social media can be your friend if you can get the word out... people will share stories like this and get the word out across the country sooner than you can imagine.

Maybe the HW members with FB pages can put this on blast and get it out all across the country? Maybe other members have friends or family in that city or local area and can help spread the word?

This story could be all over the country in a matter of a few hours the way other people will share stories like this.

I would also add maybe talk to the softball team, see if she said anything to anyone on her team or if her feelings got hurt or anything like that at the game. With your security system I don't know what you have but if you call your company they should be able to tell you what time it went off if it was un plugged. To give you a better time frame.

The Miller County Sheriff's Office has issued an Endangered Person Advisory for an Iberia teen last seen late Friday night.

Macala Shelton was not at her North St. Louis Street home this morning. Her grandmother saw her go to bed around 11:45 p.m. Friday, but Shelton was not there Saturday morning.

Shelton is described as a white female, 13 years old. She stand five feet, one inch and weighs 90 pounds.

Shelton was last seen wearing black framed glasses, a neon yellow baseball shirt with the number "8" on it and black shorts.

Anyone who sees or has information about Macala Shelton should call 911 or the Miller County Sheriff's Office at 573-369-2341.

MILLER COUNTY, Mo. -- The body of 13-year-old Macala Shelton, of Iberia, Mo., was found by police at 2 a.m. today at Ponders Hole, outside Iberia, Mo., according to unofficial sources.

Two suspects have been taken into custody by the Miller County Sheriff's Department. The arrests also have not been confirmed officially.

The Miller County Sheriff's Office is conducting an ongoing investigation into the case and notifying family members.

This story will be updated as more information becomes available.
