Title: Black Bear Hunting Literature for Washington State?
Post by: acnewman55 on June 24, 2013, 10:39:53 AM: Looking for recommendations on some reading for black bear habitat, behavior, and hunting techniques. I've done a lot of reading on grizzlies (just out of curiosity) but I'm interested in starting to hunt black bear and need to start soaking in the info.

Hunting with a rifle.

Not to make it sound simple becuase it obviously isn't....they are silly bears after all....but really a great place to start and it's free! Good luck this year and I hope you whack one.

:yeah: I saw it recommended on this site and got it. Great book for anyone one interested in hunting or PNW outdoor history.

Yeah, a great read, but come on...he was stumbling upon bears around every corner. No fair! :chuckle:
