I plan on getting one of these in the next few days. Does anyone have any and what are your likes, dislikes and hows the battery life? Thanks

I have 2 of them and I just got the new moultrie m-990i. I've been really happy with them. The viewing screen is a huge plus for me. they take real good pictures and are really reliable. Battery life is pretty damn good also especially if you use the ultimate lithium batteries. they are definitely worth the money. Look on ebay, that's where you will find the best deals.

I have one but personally wouldn't want to hang around that long at my spot to view the pics in fear if scaring something out of there.

Here's a link to a thread with pics from my M100's. They have exceptional flash distance @70ft along with widescreen photos, great photo quality. I use the onboard screen to help adjust the position of the cam during setup which will eliminate coming back a week or more later and finding that the cam was pointed in the wrong direction. Downside is that night time pics of moving animals are usually slighly blurry. I think the i990 improved on this issue though. Even then it's still not bad. I've gotten over two months on the batteries but know that running in video mode will kill them quicker than a shovel to the head. Good luck - it's addicting. (my addiction has grown to 5 cams)

I don't plan on using the viewing screen very much. I was more curious about battery life?

I have a m-100, m-80, and several m-880s. My m-80 and 880's do better on battery life. Some of these guys might not notice a huge difference in battery life, but my cameras take anywhere from 1500-3500 pics a weeks and the m-100 has to be changed out 3-4 times more a year then the 80 series. Just my :twocents:

Like how many pics do you get from a set of bats in the M100?

The weather has a lot to do with that. Somewhere around 2 months I guess. That's about 10,000 pics into it. The m-80 can go for a month longer alot of times and the m-880 can last even longer. My cameras take 15,000-20,000 pics a year, probably more. If your cameras won't be taking a high volume of pics like that then you shouldnt even worry about it.

I get up to 2000 pics in two weeks
