Title: Libby Lake Hike
Post by: Wea300mag on July 15, 2013, 05:56:07 PM
Here are some images from a hike I took this weekend to Libby Lake in the Sawtooth Wilderness. With the exception of lots of blowdown to hurdle/crawl under/walk around, the trail was in good shape. I arrived at the lake about 9:30am so it was still cold out, keeping the bugs hidden .

It's 6 miles in and about 3400' elevation gain, I would not recommend taking a 5 yo. Between that and the 100+ blow-down, it would likely discourage the child from ever wanting to hike again. You may look at Crater Lake in the Sawtooths, its only about 4 miles and about 2100 elevation.
