Title: late palouse tag!
Post by: nachesboy72 on July 21, 2013, 06:21:13 PM: this is my first year getting drawn for this tag, any information on whhere to go? what the bucks are like, has anyone seen anything worth while yet this year? anything will help please! :)

actually there are plenty of threads on here about that tag. run a search and read up!
welcome to the forum and share some of your own stories and people will open up a bit more

I rifle hunt there every year since that is where I'm from . Grew up in Colfax. Live on west side now, but family farm & land is still there.
I bow hunt elk on west side so if anyone wants to trade info....hit me up
I drew a cow tag in elk area 4941 part of gmu 437 skagit river.
I have a feeling it won't be easy getting permission or info in there

Good news:
Yes there are LOTS of big bucks there
Bad news:
You can't just wander in and hunt. It's all private land. Land owners here are serious about keeping track of who is allowed on through state issued permission cards.
You can PM me if you want

There are both mule deer and white tail, but your tag is for white tail only.

I think you will be running into mostly mulies out there, but worth a shot.
