My dad and I camped at rainbow falls state park, And saw a lot of deer in the area, can anyone tell me if this unit is full of hunters during modern firearm deer season.

Absolutely yes; and it is not GMU530. It is GMU501 Lincoln.

Are you aware that the Weyerhaeuser land is off limits this year, unless you have one of the $200 access permits?

I expect any other ownership that is open to the public within GMU 530 will have more hunters than ever before.

Correct as I understand it, no walking in without the permit.

Lots of ground on the south end of the unit.  For some reason when people think Ryderwood they think Pe Ell / Boistfort, but there is a bunch of ground, including state land, in the south end.

Correct, any Weyco land in either treefarm covered by permits is closed to any kind of access unless you are a permit holder.
