Title: Baker lake suggestions
Post by: Bmcox86 on July 30, 2013, 08:17:00 PM: So me and my wife are heading up to baker lake next week for 4 days of camping and fishing. We will be fishing from kayaks and maybe a 1 man pontoon. I'm looking for suggestions in what lures/ baits to buy, any type of rigging, any other species if fish to target besides sockeye and which campground would be best. Any suggestions a appreciated I'm hopefully going to catch my first salmon in this trip. That's the goal anyways.

Post by: wildweeds on August 02, 2013, 04:39:49 PM: Key to Reds is slow speed and lots of gear in the water,the more poles the better.When I go with my buddy we make sure to have at least 5 fishermen and still use 2 dummy dodgers.You want to imitate a school of fish which is why you want all the dodgers.Watch the turns though or you'll find yourself in an epic detangling session.
