Anyone out there had a chance to scout for chukar yet? I know fires are raging over near whiskey dick...

Heard the Colockum has burned up pretty bad! Guess that will be out for the season. Headquarters unit was saved!
-
Still plenty of ridges left on the Colockum that didn't burn.
I have not been out scouting at all yet. Hatch conditions were very good, there should be a healthy bird population this year.

Fingers crossed!
I told my GSP if he was good, I'd take him this year. :chuckle:

I bet if you DON'T take him, he'll make you pay by being a mischievious punk around the house! :chuckle:

Was out last Thursday for a couple hours and had great dog work on 4 coveys ranging from 5 - 12 birds. Birds are out there. Getting geeked for the opener.

Nope, wolves ate 'em all. :)

So if I take the GSP's out to scout in a week or two, I should be ok. I generally do not hit that area till leter in October.
Just dont want the youngin's to get bit!
Thanks...
