I've thrown a lot of hides away over the years as my taxidermist has never shown any interest in buying any. Seen a lot of people talking about selling their hides to taxidermists and wondering if anyone here does buy them. If so, how much do you pay?
Good chance I'll be able to provide a few this fall if you do. Let me know!

I had talked to some lady in Okanogan that said they will buy bear skins. This was a few years ago but I think she said she would pay around $100-$150 depending on the size, color, and overall shape of the skins. I dont remember the business name but a quick google search would probably do it for you.

I wouldn't bank on her giving you 100-150. :twocents:

How much on average would a taxidermist charge just to buy one? My dad is looking for one for their farm

I'll buy them if I want a few for stock. They have to have good hair with no rubs and no major scars. Claws need to be on the hide also. $100 - $150 is about right as far as what they go for raw.
