Last weekend My son and I finally made it up to Lake Styckney. We left early Saturday morning, and made it up there at around 6pm. Would have made it to the lake sooner, but the fog didn't burn off till about 4pm. I have never been there before, and needed to see the land scape before bailing off the road, for the last mile to the lake. We found bear sign down low at about 1200ft, but nothing up at 3400ft where the lake is. The blue berries have along way to go yet.
The lake was awesome. Cought all the eastern brook we could eat, and had a great time. Wish we could have stayed a few more days. Were gonna try to get back up there over labor day weekend. I think it will be a great area for bear september/october.

I forgot we actually got rain here this weekend. I was way over NE doing some relaxing with the wife at the lodge I used to guide out of. Had some pretty intense thunderstorms on our way home Sunday.
Nothing like skeeters and horseflies to make a guy want to wear canvas when its 80!
