So we all know from cartoons as kids that bears sleep in caves and you cant have caves without rocks so I'm starting to hunt in more rocky areas :dunno:. I know its a stretch but I got to try something.

NOW, consider this. Take that mileage (and add a little) and go to Idaho. Bait the h*!! out of the bears and shoot a big'un. Drive home triumphant knowing that you saw some cool country, probably saw 3 elk, 1 moose and 6 deer in the weekend. And got to sit in a stand and wait for one to come to your bait.
The trick is getting some sucker over there to keep the bait stocked up for you.
Also, watch for wolves.

I will be this weekend...fishing that is....see....when you have a frezzer full of bear meat already you can relax a bit until elk season....you can't relax elk season has already started in my book. You should be hiking 5 days a week shooting a little everyday double checking all your gear we have no time to relax.
