Title: Reloading Data for Old Activ Hulls
Post by: huntingfool7 on August 14, 2013, 06:00:28 AM
I've recently purchased a used MEC 600 12 gauge reloading press that came with 170 old Activ hulls and 6 different kinds of wads.  These are the ones that were made in the 80's that are all plastic.

The one bag of Activ wads are L-33.  It looks like a couple of the other non-Activ wads can be loaded in Activ hulls.

Does anyone have the old Activ reloading pamphlet that I can get a copy of?  Or an old recipe or two for these hulls?

I had always loaded them right next to "AA" and six crimp remingtons... we wore those old Activ hulls out in the 90's

Here's what I came up with on these-

Activ hulls (no metal base) 1-1/8 oz. shot  L-33 wad 18 gr. of Red Dot with a Win209.

From Page 13  -  castboolits.gunloads.com/showthread.php?166873-ACTIV-reloading-data-here
That same load also with 12S3 wad, 18 gr Red Dot listed at 2-3/4 dram, 1145 fps/9200 psi.
