Didn't get a chance to get a game cam up this summer, but I just love daydreaming about TRUE hog blacktails running around. So here's my question, if you had to throw a Boone and Crockett number out there, what's the biggest WESTERN WA blacktail you've captured this summer? I don't want pics, locations or any of that, just some preseason motivation.
-
I would say anywhere between 115 and 130 is a nice trophy coastal blacktail ...anything bigger than 130 is over the top :twocents:
-
I got this guy on my cell phone camera. The pic is fuzzy and then cropped so it's a crummy pic but you get the idea.
I think he's all of 120". I don't have a blacktail camera out this year but I might put one out tomorrow.

Shooter...Big enough  :dunno: :archery_smiley:
-
Going up to stay the night in the high country today, I hung a camera on the trail of a three point w eye guards that should go around 115 to 120. So hopefully ill have some pics to post.

I didnt get too many cams out this year but these are my two favorite bucks I have gotten over the past two years. I love the big fork! Of course, I never saw these bucks again after summer :chuckle:
-
Buddy saw this guy

By my rough estimate he was a 160" 5x4....wish I could have got a pic of him....one in a lifetime buck....yes it was a pure blacktail...not very far from the ocean
-
Nice pics but none of these buck will go over 125 . I have several bucks in the book. None of these pic will go over 130 there still nice bucks :twocents:

Don't think anyone claimed they would, but thanks for pointing that out. Lets see some pic's of your book bucks.

I agree, you've posted your bucks, don't know what book your talking about, but it sure as hell ain't B&C.....

Couple weeks ago while scouting the willapa hills unit we saw a buck skylined that was simply massive. Antlers were out past his ears, looked like a huge muley up there... He was almost instantly gone and we had no chance to get pics, but we returned armed with trail cams and salt licks. Hopefully we can locate him in time for bow season! :archery_smiley:

Here are a couple from around my house
-
Can you shoot around your house?
-
The piebald buck is awesome. Great that he made it to maturity. They usually have a tough go of it.
-
Washington state record book. 6 in the book 3 that I've never put in. Gasman has seen them and drools
-
So that 1st buck wouldn't make the wa state book? Lol
-
Best pic of this one...waiting for his return. Hard to tell from the photo what would this one score? He needs to turn sideways.

He'd have to be 125" for the rifle category. He'd be close I think. Bow would be 90" and muzz would be 95".
You can't shoot him with anything where he's at in the picture and I haven't seen him since and I look pretty much every day.
-
This is a west side blacktail that I found a couple weeks ago, multi season tag in hand- he is my goal for deer season. I would guess 110 ish. I saw him in person from 30 yards, tall and wide. He needs to get rubbin!!
-
My biggest on cam this year so far.
-
There are a ton of deer with the piebald gene around my area. I do not know if I am aloud to hunt around my place. I live in Kitsap county and I have been trying to figure that out. There are a bunch of deer.
-
Found this hog while out by the coast.
-
Here's my Booner. I raised him myself with broccoli starts and grapevines :chuckle:

Deer porn

WOW, that one you found Ellison could be the twin brother of the buck I took last season. Same number of points on the same sides with the same composition. That's a little freaky.
that has to be the same deer! What year was your pic taken Ellison?

Picture was taken mid-late july of this year. I also guarantee no one has shot him seeing as he frequents areas inside city limits of Ocean Shores. Its a yearly thing for me to throw my lady in the truck and head down there to stare at the big bucks so when I see a big one in the woods I don't straight freak out.

I got one similar to that last year.(assuming he's a 3point with eye guards) He scored 113''. I think yours is a little bigger, but hard to tell with the velvet........I'm guessin 115''. Your gonna have to shoot him so we know for sure :chuckle:

HOLY SHEET ELLISON, that buck is a stud, and looks really young to boot, hopefully he gets to pass on those genes, you will have a hell of a spot for years to come thats for sure, i would love to see that bucks daddy
