Title: Mosquito's???
Post by: Smossy on August 22, 2013, 08:51:58 PM: What do you guys do to avoid them? I literally was bit probably 100 times when I was out yesterday. Its baddddd.
They were like swarms of bee's everywhere I went.

Post by: Kain on August 22, 2013, 08:55:44 PM: I use one of those Off Clip Ons and it actually works really well. It makes a small humming noise but at least I dont have to put bug spray all over me. Pretty cheap also.

When I sit I put a hat and gloves on and then apply 100 Deet to areas not covered. Then ample amounts of cover scent around where I am sitting.

And I just got back from fishing in Alaska and up there some of the guys we fished with had dryer sheet and just rubbed them on your skin and clothes and it really worked.

Yes it has to be on your outer layer, not really a flame but the propane heats some metal that definitely glows.

Trust me the BUG X wipes work great, one application lasts approx. 7 hours.

Post by: crschralping on August 24, 2013, 12:29:53 PM: Thermacell is all I use. Just sit it beside you when sitting and you're good to go. Wind can make it less effective but there are usually less bugs the stronger the wind. I run long sleeves and pants no matter the temp too.
