I really wish WDFW would change the laws on keeping skulls! :bash:
-
Cool find. I'm sure most people just pick them up and plead ignorance.
-
That would be at my house right now getting cleaned up! Illegal yes but such a great find it would be worth it to me. I'm not a law breaker but some laws are so stupid they need to be ignored; especially when there isn't any harm being done.
-
:yeah: :sry:
-
Call'em...tellem you found an old one and you want it..................otherwise you wont reveal its where abouts.

That can be done. I'd do it for a moose like that. That's a big bull.
-
That looks like Idaho to me.
-
:yeah: Slate Creek!
-
Cool find. I know a guy who picked up a couple skulls in "Idaho" just like that. :chuckle:
-
Yea now that i think of it i was really close to the Id/Wa state line.....
-
That looks like Idaho to me.
yes sir it does
-
I would have guessed idaho as well. In fact I am taking my saw with me hunting elk in idaho to hopefully get a 6 point elk rack that someone killed last wekend and never looked for.
-
How do you guys figure idaho just by looking at vegetation like that?

I would guess that you can legally pick up skulls in Idaho. get the drift? ;) :chuckle:
-
Sure is Idaho. Buddy of mine has a masher elf dead head from Idaho he found last year. ;)
-
Gotcha.
-
Ya that had to be Idaho I can tell by the leaves those are Idaho leaves lol
-
love the shed!!! It just shedded his head lol!!!
-

:yeah:
-
I wouldn't tell anybody about the elf head
-
I don't get it. Someone finds an endangered species horn/antler and keeps it, but you can't keep an old moose skull with antlers on it.............???
The only thing I found that you can't keep is any Big Horn heads/horns found in the field.
-
:dunno: I know if I came across any skulls with antlers I am sure I would pick them up.
-
It is a good law IMHO. There are a lot of jackwagons out there that would drop an animal in the off season....then come back a year later and take the skull/antlers as a deadhead.

:yeah:x100! Go back and get it, it was your dads (or anyones)and you don't know where it came from! 90% of fines come from people giving themselves up. I also don't go out to break laws but that one does suck!

i was gonna say the same thing, I know it's legal for deer and elk but not sure about moose?
-
Three years ago I found a Big horn Ram dead right next to the road in the snow, have no idea what happened to it, my guess is it's in a game wardens garage.
-
Is this illegal in WA? Didn't know this. I know about picking up road kill but a dead critter that's been dead obviously a long time dumb founds me! That's BS to me!
-
Either way I would be all over that. I know I am doing nothing but picking it up and would have no problem going to sleep at night with myself.
-
you can keep horns from hanford :twocents:
