We were nearing the end of our hunt went up around a bend for no longer than 2 minutes came back to find a fresh pile of sign. Man we were so close.
-
Happened to me this past spring. :bash: Keep at it though
-
It was a little aggravating but hey we were in the right place. The bears are out
-
So ...your saying this bear sheet ? :o
-
Yes that is bear poop
-
wtf is that thing eating!?
-
Seen a couple more piles similar in diet. Also within a more recent pooping as well. It looked like it was grass but isn't that a more early diet thig ?
-
It's eating mud guppies lol :IBCOOL:
-
that's nasty
I wouldn't eat that bear anyways, not that I'm convinced it's even a bear.
-
Lol something!
Could it be salmon? I have never seen what salmon looks like in the poo
-
Not even a seed in that poo? Were there berries around, other food sources? Just curious how you know for sure it is bear. Looks like a cat maybe? Especially if you were as close to the corner as you say. You would think you guys would have heard it. :dunno:
-
I've had cats crap right in my tracks - they'll follow you down a trail and crap right where you been.
Kinda funny as they don't always even try to bury it, nope they lay a big ol stinky deuce right in your footprint.
Not sure the signal they're sending by doing that, maybe a territory thing?
-
There was plenty of other bear poo around some with berries others with this grassy stuff
Also some of the poo was old like weeks old
I was way out in the woods nobody around. Is that a bobcat thing as well?
I do agree it seems odd we couldn't hear the thing.
-
Not sure I would go with Bear Scat! But if it is they should change their diet!!! :chuckle:
-
I have seen some weird bear crap, but I am not sure if this is even bear. There is nothing for size reference, but it is definitely not a full grass pile, more like fir needles than grass.
It looks like whatever it was had been feeding on rotten meat.
-
The pile was about the size of my palm.
-
Dang I ran into the same thing!!

It is probably a yote with a sore butt.
-
Is it normal for yotes to follow hunters? I do recall hearing a couple right as we started our hunt in the morning.

Yes, especially young of the year which will be venturing on their own about now.
-
I have been sitting back on this one just to see where it was headed :chuckle: :chuckle: This is coyote sheet .. :twocents: :dunno:
