I've been using power belt 348 grains with a 100 grains of powder been wanting to try the
QT 300 grain but have had bad luck with the plastics fouling before thats why power belt.
SOOO I was wondering what do you guys use to get the fouling out of your barrell, esp when sighting the gun in. I clean my barrell every shot when sighting in.

I'm new to the world of Sabots. Until the Precession DC sabots I just couldn't get a sabot down the barrel after 2,3,4 shots. I've only about 20 of teh 300gr Dc's down the tube. Load great and no seeing any plastic fouling. Never cleaned every shot. Hell every muzzyloader I've own had a crap first shot then shots 2-7 just kept getting better. Wish I had an answer for ya. Good luck

I've shot many many sabots and it hasn't been a problem. A properly seasoned barrel and a good fitting sabot and I can shoot them all day. I would try changing up what you are doing try TC's bore butter or Cabelas Natural Lube in the bore and if your not using pellets try some or change what powder you've been using and maybe amounts of powder. Bigger charges always lead to more fouling more heat. It helps to have a barrel that is broken in. My TC Black Diamond was tight and gummy dirty a lot when it was new. Patches would stick and the nipple would foul out but in it's third year I'm not having any of those problems with it.
