This is going to be my first year grouse hunting and first year with a young dog any advise? Or anyone want to come?

Too far for me......... I have pretty good luck hunting creekbeds, for ruffs anyway.

Look due North to the Colville National Forest (buy a map); Stevens County is near the top in forest grouse harvest.

Keep the dog close if you go there. Wolves aren't welcoming to dogs, and they are there.

Send me a PM about your self I usually go up to colville quite a bit for grouse and rabbit. Also I plan on going after bear and potentially deer too. I have a two year old Belgian Malinois that needs a friend too (he doesn't hunt). I also go after Coyotes when the fur gets thick.
