what did you plant for a food plot!?

I'm using a blend one of my farming customers helped me make. It's all drought resistant clover, alfalfa, chickory, and a little winter rye. We added some sugar beets, turnips, and radish, they didn't do well. I'll come up with a way to give the plots some water in late July/August to help them do better, but overall pretty happy. You can see it looks good in the July photos, and that's after I mowed it in early June! Bears even come to the clover, and the salt??

Any guesses on the deer ages? They all look to be mature bucks to me, but I no good with whitetails.

Is this on private property or public?

Cool, I have always wondered about food plots on public land. I am sure that would not go over well with any land management agencies!!

Back east I've heard of people doing it, but Mulies don't go for them anyways. I always wanted to try a couple and have been surprised with the way the mountain whitetail have used them. They are quite small, but get well used. I've also seen an increase in the size of deer the past couple years???
