Finally got time off work to go hunting, left yesterday morning in time to make it out for first light. The fog was so thick had maybe 5 yards of visibility. I heard some stomping around behind me so I turned to see a doe standing perfect for a broadside side shot; lucky me my release is in my pack. I squat down to dig into my pack and grab it, at no point did she move. Instead her traveling companions come over the ridge on the other side of me. Another doe spooks and runs into me knocked me off my feet and hers, she got to flailing and bucking. Got kicked in the ribs and I'm sore all over. Don't know if I'll have time this month after I heal up, so I might focus my attention towards late season.

Tough luck....heal up and get back out there
-
Wow, crazy! :yike: Hope you heal up quick and make it back out there!
-
Wow! Maybe jiu-jitsu classes so the next time you can slap a rear naked choke on it when you're all tangled on the ground with it?
Hope your ribs feel better dude. I hate having busted ribs. Good luck in the late season.

WTF? This only happens on AFV. What's the real story? Lol. If it's true, it would be one of the better stories I have read. :sry:
-
Did i just read this right? U got your a** kicked by a doe and your ready to quit on the early season! I think i would be right back in the woods looking to kill anything that moves, and at the same time, not telling anyone I got it handed to me by a doe! :)

:yike: Holy crap! I've never heard a story like that one. Revenge is sweet......stick that doe!

I never knew there was such a thing and being too sneaky.

If true, there is much more to this story. I want to hear more details :)

That is awesome :chuckle:

Sounds like the velociraptor scene in Jurassic Park!

You tell me where that B is right now and I'll go teach her a lesson! Uncalled for, totally disrespectful.
-
I'm pretty jealous dude, gotta say your luck is far and away better than mine even with the kicked in ribs and deflated appendage. Good luck on the recovery!

:chuckle:

:o Oh geeze, hoping for a speedy recovery.

Next time just hold an arrow out in front of you, then the does will just skewer itself for you. No release needed!
-
Man those deer had some skills. Next time sweep the leg!

My brother and I were elk hunting years ago and had a guy come into our camp all beat to hell because he had a group of cows spook in front of him and got trampled when they took off. I got to admit after that guy left we laughed so hard we cried but I have had a close call myself with a buck and it gets pretty serious real quick.

I've got 3 days off and 5 total days I can hunt before the end of early season; and of course on my way to work this afternoon I see a beautiful 3 point buck and a doe both standing broadside. I unfortunately had no bow or time but I would loved to have gotten some horns for the wall.

dued awesome story.... but kinda sucks at the same time... hope you better soon :sry:
