Hey Gentlemen and ladies, I am new here and just wondering if there are any successful traditional shooters out there?
I traded my compound bow in last fall for a recurve and have loved it ever since. The good part is that I had never shot an elk ever so I don't have a record to mess up.
I would love to hear from any trad shooters out there. Please note I have nothing against my compound brothers and sisters.

There is a young man in the 2013 Buck post who took his deer with a stick. Boneaddict has a picture up there too with his usual OMG stick kill. Also a 2013 Wyoming thread where an antelope and deer were both taken with what looks like a Thunderbird. I expect we will see a few more popping up as the Idaho early season comes to a close. Plenty of stick benders on here.

Matt Brody came out from Wisconsin this year and harvested a nice 5 point Roosevelt Bull on the second day of the season with a longbow he made himself. Me and the other recurve users in our camp had some encounters, but did not loose any arrows at elk. (loose, not lose)

:chuckle:
This is exactly how it is. Imagine what he could harvest if he put half as much effort into shooting animals with his Sapphire as with his camera.

Not giving up yet, still have a few days to chase deer around. Looking to get out over the next few days and target blacktails. Thinking I will try for elk during the late season.

Cool thread, congrats to the successful traditional archers out there!
