Damn, I hadn't heard that. I don't understand why they wouldn't make one. I guess I'm stuck with buying a duramax in the future... :chuckle:
-
Chevy all the way. My back hurts just looking at Fords.
-
FYI, Ford is putting a diesel in the Expedition and F-150 this coming year.
-
Toyota is my #1 , I love my old 72 blazer, Wish I could afford to buy a new superduty crew cab.
-
over here toyota makes a tacoma sized truck with a diesel engine, my buddy has one and he's running 40 MPG

Yep, which is why I don't get why they won't put a diesel in a Tundra....

The rest of the world sees the advantage of a diesel vehicle. Europe has a ton of diesel rigs on their roads.
I don't think most Americans can see past the negatives of the old diesels that were smoky, and stinky.

Love my old Toyota T-100.

I "like" Ferds, but they just don't make the power that I like :chuckle:
Now you guys don't go and get all statistical, I'd hate to start comparing numbers :chuckle:
A highly self proclaimed Ford for Life friend of my dads drove my dads 04 2500 5.9 ltr Cummins to Tonasket over the weekend and about crapped his pants when he noticed the power difference towing at only 1500 rpms. Its got him thinking its time to upgrade. :IBCOOL:
Other than Dodge, next in line would be Toyota. I still love those trucks. Then comes Ford followed by Chevy in last place.

I have no regrets about my Tacoma - it's an awesome truck for it's size and abilities! I wouldn't mind seeing a diesel Tundra for sure, but my next truck will be a Ram 2500 with a Cummins on 37's!
MS - It looks like you have 37's on 18's is that correct? Why no 37's on 20's??? :dunno: :chuckle:
-
I've gotta say I really love my Chevy! I used to be a Ford guy but I've seen the error of my ways! :chuckle:
Here's Mine.

Yup, 37's on 18's! I'm not a fan of how a ten inch wheel sticks way out. I couldnt find a twenty in a 9" either. I didn't want a ton of dings or those ugly ass big bolt on fender flares :chuckle: I'll stick to a 9" wheel.
I'll admit, I like to keep her pretty :chuckle:

Muleysniper that truck is gorgeous. Dodge is a close second for me if i get a new truck it'd be a hard call...
But you know how family goes... :P Chevy at the bottom for sure...
-
Gotta go w/ the "rice burner"...
-
FORD :rockin:

I do like the new dodges, but they fall apart too easy. I'm always having to swerve for them damn dodge parts when I am up driving the gravel roads :chuckle: Just playin ;) It would actually be a toss up between the Super duty ot the dodge super crew or whatever the hell that thing is ;) Oh by the way, 37's are for weeners :chuckle: Step up and go 38's, too many woman are stepping up to 37's :chuckle:.
-
Who puts 20's on a REAL truck anyway...unless they are beadlocks of course. :chuckle:
-
I hate them wagon wheels , makes the tires look smaller.
-
Oh, and I think the real men are running 54's now.... :chuckle:

Go price out some 37" Toyos and then we'll see who the weiner is. :chuckle:
I've only got 34" Toyos on my Dodge and they still wanted $1600 for them.
-
Yeh those toyos are expensive if your talking about the M/T
-
That's why the Toyos that came on my truck will probably be the last set of Toyos my truck ever sees.
-
good tires are so expensive its a joke
-
Thank God my good buddy has some pull at Les Schwab. I still almost cried though when I paid for my wheels/tires and a 6" superlift. Tires are definetly a spendy item.
-
Tires are going out the roof! We went with the coopers for my wifes truck this time, saved somr money over the Toyo's and have the same tread pattern. Them thing do wear like Iron.

I used to pay about $1k for my 35" Swampers for my Toyota. I about fell over when they quoted me something like over $300 per tire for the tiny toyos that would fit on my Chevy. :yike:
-
All I buy is swampers. I dont care about wear too much, on yotas I can get 40,000 out of them which is good to me. I remember when I blew one of my buckshots out and went in to schwab to get new tires. Thats when the Toyos MTs first came out, the 35 13.50's were 150 or 160 a tire. I went with the 35-14.50 SSR swampers instead. Didnt trust the new tires.
-
I had the 35x12.5 SSR's on my Tacoma and got well over 40k out of them.
-
I was averaging between all my swampers, I got around 45,000 out of the ssr and close to 35,000 on the sx but still had about 1/4 tread. They wear fine if they are rotated and run good pressures in them! They dont last long on fullsized rigs though.
-
Had to go with Ford :tung: I run nittos or interco tires on my rigs.

Chevrolet all the way! wow lotsa toyotas.... for the 3rd time in 4 threads im gonna :puke:
-
Chevy all the way, now, had the Ford-liked the style and size of the crew cab but the ride sucked and with camper it was really bad. Had an older Cummins in my Dodge, couldn't hear myself think inside the cab never mind the radio with all the racket going on in front and room for nothing in their quad cab, but hey they make a crew cab, with a 5 foot bed!!!!! I guess I am getting old cause the Chevy ride can't be beat.... And I can hear the radio with the Duramax.......
Ideal truck would be the Chevy ride, Ford sized with a NEW cummins....with Toyota mileage..
-
I have a 1999 F-250, V-10, 4x4 Crew Cab. I love it!! Great rig.
-
I guess I shoudn't have said anything bad about my Toyos...one of them got pissed off and went flat this morning right as I was pulling into work. :dunno:

i work for dodge. the new 6.7 cummins has some issues that need to be resolved before i buy one.
any of you guys with a 6.7 cummins that gets a check engine light and need it fixed...pm me. if you haven't yet, you will have a soot problem that causes the turbo to get plugged up...it's a huge repair. apparently the only way the problem won't happen is if the truck is getting worked hard all the time.
i really like chevy trucks...it's all i've ever owned. i like the dodge trucks, but because i am a big guy 6'4" 230, the driver seat bugs me...seems too narrow. can't beat the chev interiors or the ride quality, and the duramax/allison trans is bombproof.
bottom line is they are all good trucks...just depends on what you like.
-
For you powerjoke guys.....
My '07 2500
Powerjoke huh, you better keep that truck purdy because its going to be a collectors item here very soon, it will be the "GMC RAM" if things keep going the way they are. ;)
-

Hope this works, haven't posted a pic before.
Here is my powerjoke. Not the greatest picture but then again, not much of a joke either.
-
What is that, 8 inches and 38s? Nice lookin truck man!

Thanks, yep, 38" toyo MT's,best tire out there in my opinion. had swampers and they will just knock your teeth loose and wear bad on a truck that big. These tires almost make it feel like a factory ride on the hiway. Now off road with that suspension is a different story. Truthfully the Nissan hits the woods much more.
It's a late 99 F350 7.3 with 6 position chip, airraid intake, full Banks exhaust and the nicest pillar gauges I have ever seen. The best part is I haven't even broke 100k on the odometer yet. Just about though.

No kidding. Now I gotta go buy tires this weekend. Had some idiot on the phone at Discount tire tell me that the Toyo A/T's might be a 10-ply tire, so I should consider going with a 10-ply....
-
I have to go with two, Chevy 1/2 ton 5.3 for general purpose, great gas mileage and so comfortable. For hunting and all that the Tacoma has to get my vote, a lot of places I go a full size just wouldn't cut it, especially in the snow. I have 201,000 hard, hard miles on mine and not a problem, original water pump, alternator, clutch..everything and 22mpg average. she's a little scratched up but I'd never get rid of her. as for tires, my next set will be cooper sst's, it would've been toyo mt's but LUVHUNTIN has worn out his second set, they both lasted around 20,000miles.
-
my baby, '07 Silverado 1500, 6in lift, 35x13's, wouldn't trade it for the world, i love everything about it. had it for a little over a year now and she's ran like a gem the entire time, that's why i love chevy, they make a solid truck.
