Post by: backyard bucks on October 27, 2008, 09:10:03 PM: A friend turned me onto this site and i like to see the pics and hear the stories.
I live in snohomish county and have hunted for deer and elk with muzzelloader, rifle, and archery.
archery has always been my favorite choice but i have switched from time to time when doing certain hunts.
here are a few pics of some animals we have taken.

Post by: backyard bucks on October 27, 2008, 09:35:50 PM: funny story to go along with that pic of the 3 deer hanging in camp. we took a first year hunter up with us. great guy and the hunt was a blast but he was pretty upset about not having any horns hanging in camp. so he found that bunny on a trail and added it to the pole. ha ha ha. we had a good laugh at that.

our last time was last years when we had all that snow hit early and while we were up on the hill. we were left up there for a couple days longer because the packer couldn't make it over the passes.. fun but tough conditions!
went back to the bowhunting this year so i could take my son.
here is his first archery kill, he has taken a couple does north of spokan on the late season.

he is non-stop wanting to go into the woods to locate new areas to put stands up or just find the big buck sign.
gotta love it... hopefully it doesn't lose it when the girls start coming into play. :drool:

funny thing about that pic of his deer. we went out to put a couple stands up in the afternoon in an area with some big bucks..
we put the stands up and start walking out and see that buck and a couple does walking the treeline down to us.
we put a sneak on it and cut them off. 20 yard shot and the deer went about 25 yards and pilled up.
the funny thing is i spent tons of money for that monster to be all camo'd out and ready for the season to start.
he ended up getting the deer with the gear he has on.. RED SHORTS, TEE SHIRT, AND TENNIS SHOES. boy i could have saved some money there. ha ha ha
oh well we still have elk season and my youngest boy coming up too.

nice elk by the way bows.. that is one thing i haven't tagged on yet. congrats

I was thinking the same thing... Damn! Tough camp, someone tacked up the bucks package :yike:
