Title: skagit co bear hunting? any ideas on where to go here in skagit co?

i got skunked on elk and came home early.  bear is still open and i have the time off.  any ideas on where to go this late?

They will be cruising looking for food about 20 hours a day. If you find sign they should be back around. Look for remaining berries along the edges of cuts and find some nasty spots that the deer hunters haven't been in.

Try the Finney-cumberland mainline, upper and lower.  All the bear I have seen in the last few years have been on south and or southwest facing slopes.  And ditto what billythekidrock said.  Big bear seen last week accross the river from highway 20 on the river bank at the 101 fishing hole.

There arent any bears in Skagit Co... :chuckle:

ditto what the others said...good luck, I will be looking for bearskies/deer later this week!
