Never heard anyone cow call like that before :dunno: Dang fine bull!
-
i dont do it all the time but its worked great for me...ive got alot of bulls fired up with it and running in to it...i mix things up if the normal calling isnt working....you never know what these elk will respond to

you never know what these elk will respond to
Years ago outside of Sumpter, Oregon my hunting partner Channon and I found a bull that sounded like a gut shot herford cow. For a week we tried to get him to come to a call and he would not. One afternoon I decided to challenge him by sneaking up close and bugling in his face with that same herford cow type bugle he was doing. That guy came in so fast neither of us could react fast enough to kill him. Guess we really didn't think it would work and were completely unprepared. You just never know what those dang creatures will react to.
Need an elk talk interpreter app for my phone so I can understand what the heck they are saying :chuckle: Every time I think I know I find out I'm wrong.
-
Isn't that the truth...I watched a guy whistle a bugle at a bull about 80 yds away the same day I recorded this one and the bull screamed at him....it was pretty funny :chuckle:
-
Before you could hunt Umtanum in the archery season my chiropractor friend and I would go in there and bugle bulls for the practice. One day we lost all of our bugling battles to the yarder whistle on a local logging operation. After that I thought maybe we should design a pocket sized yarder whistle for hunters :chuckle:

I can't see anythin...is it a video ?? I love monster rosies.......

Freakin dink.... I'd love to hang him over a fireplace
-
Nice bull. Good video. Thanks
-

Yes. That is a PIG of a bull
-
That looks like a Julia Butler Nelson Refuge bull I seen not to long ago. To a T.
-
Dandy
-
What an awesome experience! great job!
He is a beautiful roosevelt.
If you would of tried to sound like a bigger bull, deeper more throaty, no doubt he would of ran in super close!!

No idea where that is but no it wasn't there

I figured any bugle that close to his cow he would have came lookin for a fight..but he just rounded her up and left
-
I'm guessing at least 320+
-
290-315
-
Nice Rosie!!
-
Neat Bull!
-
That bull is close to 350".....I just looked at a 306" bull shot 2 years ago and this bull is way bigger
-
roosies tend to be a bit bigger bodied, so it makes antlers look smaller than if they were on a rocky
-
He is a fine bull ..definitely a shooter ...I have a 350 bull on my wall and he is not quiet that big....who really cares about the score ...I know I do not !!! I am a meat eater :dunno: :chuckle: :chuckle:
-
The antlers I'm comparing these to are Rosie antlers...shot just a few hundred yards from where I recorded this bull.....score doesn't really matter was just curious what you guys thought ....i wouldn't think twice about shooting this one
-
I don't see 350, nice bull tho....

O.K ...Peace man ... I not down sizing that bull ..he is a fine bull ...but I have seen enogh bulls in my time ....some of the biggest bulls around live in my garden :chuckle: :chuckle:
-
Good looking bull but no 350!
-
WOW :yike: I would love to have a Bull like that! Very nice!
-
I haven't seen many big bulls so you guys are probably right but just comparing the bulls I've seen it just seems bigger to me ....must have been bull fever :chuckle:
-
I don't have a clue what he would score but he is a Stud!
-
were u choking a chipmunk :o nice bull calling well !!!! looked like fun
-
Hmmmm...I would've kept that vid to myself :) Too much scenery. Coastal Washington is a really small place when you're talking about a bull like that in a setting like that...especially if you're from Aberdeen. :chuckle:
Nice vid. A great specimen of an adult Roosevelt bull.
-
never ever show to much scenery when taking photos or video .... :bdid: :yeah:
-
Pm sent
-
Coastal you might know that area but there's a lot of country around here that looks like that

I was just giving you a hard time :chuckle: will you have a chance at him in the late season? Hope so.
-
I have a 330 Rocky Mountain bull on the wall and he looks to be way bigger in body size and his antlers have at least 10+ " on them easily... :twocents:
-
He is an absolute PIG...270-285" Good spot, I'd try to keep an eye on him until late season. Good Luck
-
That's a heck of a nice bull!
-
I agree with bowhunter 270ish looking at bulls on the wall and pics.DANDY
-
I put a tape to this one a few times and never came up with less than 285. I'd say the bull in the video has at least 15 more inches of tine.
-
That's a nice bull!
-
That's a nice bull!
Go shoot that one in the video and I'll trade you. :chuckle:
-

Interesting to see that I'm not the only one the warbles the cow call sometimes, though I don't get as aggressive with it as you were. I usually mix it with pleading estrus mews. I've never seen it make them run, and sometimes its like candy.
