Title: 270 wsm ammo ?
Post by: whiteeyes on September 27, 2013, 05:57:08 PM: Any body shooting 150 grain in a 270 wsm? Pos/Cons with factory ammo. Or do you prefer 130/140 grain.

Post by: BOWHUNTER45 on October 03, 2013, 05:50:04 AM: There ya go ... 140 gr seems to be one of the best bullets made for a .270 ...I prefer Hornaday but from what I am gathering from the men on the site I may want to load some of those Accu Bonds ... I had an early start this morning ...just pressed out some bullets for the wife in a 7mm-08 ...pretty funny to wake up and 4am and smell the smell of a freshly opened can of powder :dunno: :chuckle: definitely getting the itch :tup:

Federal loads or handloads? I have an A-bolt and was really hoping to be able to go back to factory loads when I got it. They didn't work for me.

That was factory ammo. Shoots fine. At my buddies 600 meter range the 12" gong was hit 100% of the time. Burris ballistic plex scope.
Federal premium ammo.
