Title: Elk season not looking good
Post by: New England Native on October 28, 2008, 08:39:10 PM: So My wife is pregnat and past due. She now is on bed rest I have people coming from the eastside to try and hunt the west with me. Wth only a couple of days left it's not looking good. Anyone know of a place to hunt with cell service. Ive spent time scouting and finding some real good sign and elk seen but no cell service in the area. If I decide to go hunting I would like for my wife to be able to get ahold of me if needed.

You don't want to have her trying to call you from the hospital while you're busy packing out an elk.

Now if you can't help it or she seems to be feeling better. I know verizon gets service in the parts of the mossyrock, the winston, the packwood, ryderwood, and I'm sure many others. Just find a good spot with service and sit tight.

Same here. Also the Peterman's Ridge (Mossyrock) has cell service most of the time. If I were you dude, I would welcome the child/new hunter into this world instead of hunting. Just my 2 cents

If you ever want this little one to take to hunting, they should know they were more important to you then hunting ;)

I knew this was going to be close I was gambling that we were having this kid between seasons. I should never go to the casino. :bdid: I was already thinking about switching to archery I think this just put the icing on the cake. To answer you guys I have AT&T and no service anywhere in the woods. :'( Even if I did I would feel real guilty about it.

i took that route last year. it's not worth it. your wife needs your help right now. going hunting will just piss her off and leave all the work on her.
