Title: will you still be able to buy a gun after midnight tonight???

Heard on the radio that the government won't be able to process gun background checks if they shut down. :bdid: How is gonna affect  those who want to buy a gun that's not a private sale??

Law enforcement activities are designated as essential services and do not shut down even if the Congress and President fail to agree on funding legislation.  The NICS system will continue to operate.

CWP only allows you to skip the waiting period to take possession of the firearm, not bypass the background check that all have to pass.
