I'm wondering how many different lions I have on camera. Reallistically I probably won't be able to tell....just figured I'd throw it out there.
Any thoughts?
Really, I think the color/daytime pics might be 3 different ones. There's 2 obviously....an adult and a juvenile. Trying to decide if the 4th pic is another or one of the same....they're about an hour or so apart.

Do you think the 4th pic is a different lion than the top 2?

What's drawing them in?

If Kitten is around. Mother wouldn't move far so she stay around with in 5 miles radius to teach kittens to hunt. So on last pic I believe it's same as first. I may be wrong.
:bfg: save Bulls! Friend told me thur Bio who study collared cougar with WSU students who spend whole winter 2007 down there and they tracked GPS and found 6 Bulls 5x5 or bigger and few another's killed by one collared mother cat and feed to two kittens with in 4 months. :'(
Need get rid of Cats!

I believe one of them may have bit the dust today. Haven't heard for sure yet.

Venison?
Tons of deer in the neighborhood.

In the second pic the cat looks like it is spraying. maybe that's why there is so many pics other cats are checking out the maker.

Looks like 3 to me. Looks like a mid sized tom and a female and youngster.

That's the youngster. Not sure how old. Maybe a yearling? Seems big to be this years young.

Better find another place to hunt :chuckle:

Not sure how many lions, but if you look at the ridge in the background, there is some sort of herd of animals. Cattle maybe? If you compare the daytime shots, the spots on the ridge beyond change.

I'm pretty positive they're cattle.

I would have guessed 3 total but that is obviously just a guess, and what I would normally see. There is always variety to norm though.

One of my buddies has a trail cam pic from that same general area from last year around this time that has atleast 4 lions. So there are a few there.
-
The two cats in the same picture both have short tails so that tells me small cats. There mother has to be about so that adds up to at least three in my book.

Between 0 and 10

The second picture is a cat taking a crap................was that on purpose ?

Lots of animals taking a crap on camera this year. I think they're pissed at all the cameras in the woods. It's a revolt.

I was wondering about that. I was assuming the top picture was momma, the crapper was one of the youngsters. The one with the 2 I thought would have been mother and youngster. The 4th pic had me though. Looks like the 1st picture is a healthy looking, well fed adult lion and the 4th one down is a lot bonier, older, less healthy looking. Dont' know. I'm pretty positive there's 3 for sure at least.
The camera is still taking pictures. We'll see what more we've got this weekend.

First picture looks like an adult female. Second picture looks like two subadults (older juveniles).

I think you need to show where these were taken....
