Title: building new smoker need advice
Post by: awallfishnhunt on October 10, 2013, 07:06:24 PM: what are your guys thoughts on concrete hardi board for inside walls of smoker (not the painted stuff )

What type of smoker are you looking to build Hot (200 deg and above) or Cold (Below 200)?

Post by: robodad on November 01, 2013, 01:01:13 PM: Just finished my first rack of jerky in my smoker, I'm waiting for a dual probe thermometer (Maverick ET-733) to come but it worked really well, I lined the firebox with hardibacker board and cant complain, Here are a few pics of the one I am using and also one I made for a buddy !!

Yeah I had 5 gallons of Thompsons water seal already so I just used that, I thought I'd stain it later on but the more I use it the more stained it gets so I'll just let it be !! :tup:
