PHOTO OF THE MONTH CONTEST November 2008
Please enter your favorite photo into our photo of the month contest.
Novembers Theme....Field photos remember preference goes towards Washington and hunting and fishing.
The photo must have been taken by the entrant, but there is NO time limit set to how long ago the picture was taken. If the category happens to include field photos, they can be taken by someone else as long as it is of the entrant themselves.)- The photo must pertain to hunting or fishing or the outdoors in some fashion and it must match with the current months theme.
-Photo size MUST be 800x600 pixels or LESS Most violated rule
-2 entries per contestant are allowed per month. If more than 2 entries are submitted the first two elegible ones will be the ones accepted for the contest.
-Entries must be submitted by midnite of the 26th of the current month in order to qualify for that Months contest.
-Photos of Washington material will receive preference in judging as the winner will be posted on the front of a Washington site. Though I am thinking a good Montana or Idaho bull will do this month.
-Previous Photo of the month entries will not be eligible for this months contest
-The winner of the previous months contest is not eligible for the next months contest.
-Entries will be accepted or rejected as is, meaning the judges will no longer enhance, or alter images. Resizing is legal if you can talk a moderator into doing it for you.
- Entries from previous months contests will not be accepted for the contest
The photos will be evaluated by a panel of Judges made up of all the moderators. The winner (NO TIES) will be announced as soon as we come to a majority decision.
The Winner will have their photo posted on the front page ( I need to confirm if there will be another hat or not this month.)
Remember to be thinking ahead of next months contest!!! Winter scenes.

Here was a pic of my sons first archery Elk hunt. It took place in Sept 08
Enjoy
Gobble
Could anyone crop it to 800 x 600? I can't figure out how to do that?
-
Nice pic Gobble, I'm waiting to see what kind of pic I get this month, lots of hunting still to do.
-
I'm not sure if you would consider this a true "Field Photo" but it is one of my favorites.
My 3 year old son was heartbroken that he wasn't a "big enough boy" to go deer hunting so I came up with a solution. I set up a small target course behind our house, dressed him up in his "huntin' clothes", and told him if he completed the course with his brother's pellet gun he would "earn his buck". Well, he did GREAT and now proudly displays his buck as it hangs over his bed. I took the photo after he completed the course.
I told him that it's the new "World Record Jackalope"!
-
Very cute

That is an instant classic right there!

That qualifies just fine. Cool and funny. I wondered where Jack ran off too.

Good looking photos.

I feel funny posting underneath Such a beautiful bull but Salmons a Salmon!
This photo was taken by my GF, we are in a little honey hole on the Skykomish River between Sultan and Gold Bar Well above the Wallace River Mouth. Im sure some of you know this spot. The water was definetly Wooldridge Tunnel-jet status as it was running 1390FPS on the guage. The only other sleds above the wallace hole was guide Eli Rico and this guy Robb who runs a 16ft Wooldridge. It was pretty crazy gettin up there but it was well worth it! We had many hook ups(over 10) with most of the fish being big bucks one going 23lb spawned!! As you know you always let a newbie pick your Corkies! She Picked chart/orange/white/pink cheater which of course was the magic color with a skin tone tuft of yarn Gamakatsu #2 and 48in of Maxima UG12lb for leader! Under a dink Float and weight went the leaders with some Smelly Jelly Shrimp/ Pro Cure Anise oil.... 3 casts later fish On! and on and on!(https://hunting-washington.com/smf/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=13697.0;attach=15642;image)

Cody with his second pheasant! My dad and I took Cody out for the youth pheasant hunt at Scatter Creek in Rochester on September 20, 2008. He impressed us both and made us really proud with two twenty yard shots and two birds in the bag.

Moses Lake November 8, 2008. Heading back to the truck after a four or five mile hike thru the sage brush. We put up one covey, got a couple shots, but no birds and we couldn't find them again. It was fun though, until I told Cody (taking pic) where exactly the truck was.

Ok I am not seeing my pics, is it just me? I used photobucket and used their link posted between [img]. Can anybody help me out?
-
Your link was too big. I tried to narrow it down to the right part but says the photo isn't there anymore. I think you might be copy and pasting the wrong thing from photobucket.
-
ok got one fixed let me see if I can get the other.
-
There you go Sportfury.
-
I think these kids are out hunting us old folks....thats the way it should be, but holy moly. I think I started out with shooting a spike. :yike:
Where do they go from here.
-
boneaddict, thank you! Can you tell me what you did? I am new to this so I would like to post some more pics in different sections. Again thanks for the help.
Chris
-
copy and paste the information behind dierct link . Its one of the 4 choices under your photo on photobucket. I think you were copy and pasting the html code or something. hit the little photo frame item above in the tool bar and paste that info inbetween the two brackets. I think you had that part down.
-
Thanks boneaddict. I will give it a try.
-
Doesn't compare to some of the other photos, but I always get a kick out of this picture as did the thousands of people on the freeway on our 12 hour drive back to Washington from Montana in 2006.
-
