Title: Blacktails on Saturday in the rain!
Post by: billythekidrock on October 31, 2008, 07:01:34 PM: Finally we got some decent BT hunting weather. Anyone else going out in the morning?

I feel your pain. I was off the 27-30th, hunted each day, crappy weather and all.
I was a little discouraged to wake up this morning(for work) and see the wonderfull deer hunting weather... :'(

Hopefully this weather holds through late buck.

Was hoping for rain this morning but it hasn't happened yet.

Total for the day was one doe just after noon and then three more just before dark in the rain. Also one grouse and one rabbit. No shots fired and not even a buck spotted. Maybe in the morning.

Got a bunch of new rub photos and located a couple good stand sites. Didn't see any deer but I was not wearing a raingear so I beat feet out of there and got absolutely drenched to the bone. Felt good to be out though. Got a load of great pics to boot!

I saw a guy riding up Delphi Road on a quad with a rifle slung over his back. Anyone on here? Anyone know him? Figured he was bear hunting or had a special tag. Hope he wasn't poaching. He was wearing and orange vest so I didn't think that was the case.

Could have been hunting elk.

If he is hanging around on the 20th I think he will be the recipient of the pointy end of one of my arrows. I can't wait! :bash: :bash: :bash:

Been a nice group of does and one other smaller buck hanging around too.

While I have the day off, he wasn't able to get out of work. We were looking for a 3 point or better and we didn't see anything larger then some small two points. It has been a pretty tough year for me with the BT's. I hope late buck brings better luck.

My buddy was up there today Grouse hunting and he only saw one butt end of a deer. I have yet to see a deer up there this year when I was archery hunting.

I'm taking my cousin up there tomorrow (I hunt archery), so she can try and connect with her first deer (this is her first year hunting). She'll be happy with anything that has horns. :) Not sure where I'm gonna head to yet, but if you see a gray chevy say hi.
