Im looking for a place to hunt black tail oct 24-26, on the west side.
Very new to hunting, and have scouted highway 2, i90/ cle elum/ rosyln area these past two weekends...
Very interested in the sport, have modern weapon 30.06, and a shotgun w/slug... Open to learn new spots, but would like to stay on this side of the mts this weekend.
Excited for Elk opening and will travel to the other sides of the mountains.
So the question is, are there any areas to hunt over here carnation/duvall(besides that waterfowl area)/ fall city/ monroe/sultan/index/gold bar... Where you dont need permission and area is legal to hunt and open for black tail till 31st???
Any help or advice is much appreciated,
Thank you for you time

I totally know its late and last minute but im up for the challenge ;I understand all the laws and reg's, just am not sure how everyone finds a hunting spot. I dont mind going hiking, and can be off i90/highway 2 (would prefer not to find a meth lab person with a baseball bat and cross bow) on a deer hunt

Up I-90 on any of the forest service roads in mt baker snoqualmie national forest. Pick a ridge amd start hiking up until you see sign. In regards to your comment about tweakers...you should have sufficient defense with your slug gun. I wouldn't even worry about it though.
