Im sorry if this has been asked and discussed before. Im looking for a definitive answer here. I bought an archery tag. My knowledge tells me I can only harvest a deer during archery season with archery equipment. However I've heard of people using archery equipment during modern firearm season. I'm not asking about wearing orange ,So don't let the comments wander off. I'm asking is it legal for me to harvest during rifle season using archery equipment with an archery tag. I'm asking because I've heard of guys doing this but I dont know if they had an archery or modern tag.

You can only kill a deer during archery season(s) if you posses an archery tag.

:yeah:

If you buy an archery tag you may only hunt the archery seasons.
If you apply for and purchase a multi season tag you can hunt multiple seasons with the weapons and restrictions of the current season in which you are hunting.

Some guys will use archery equipment during a modern firearms season even though they have a modern firearm tag. The reason is usually due to firearm restrictions in their chosen hunting area. For instance, this is fairly common where I live in Kitsap County. You cannot hunt with an archery tag during a modern firearm season.

You can use archery GEAR during archery, muzzy and modern seasons, but you can only hunt the season for which you have purchased a tag, which also includes multi season. ;)

Around 8 years ago there was a area open during modern season you could hunt with any tag but had to use the weapon your tag had on it. Of course they took that away...

My suggestion is to pick up a set of regs and read them cover to cover. Twice.
