BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) - Authorities in eastern Montana are searching for a 73-year-old missing hunter.
Dale Tibbitts of Roy, Wash., was last seen about 2:30 p.m. Thursday.
Rosebud County Sheriff Randy Allie says Tibbitts and another hunter were in rough country in the Long Fork Creek area, about 30 miles northwest of Forsyth, when they decided to take a nap.
Allies says that when his partner woke, Tibbitts was gone.
Tibbitts is riding a camouflaged Polaris Sportsman 500 four-wheeler. He was wearing camouflage pants, a blue hat and blue coat.
Rosebud County Search and Rescue started looking for Tibbitts about 12:30 a.m. Friday.
The effort continued Saturday with searchers on horse and four-wheelers. A helicopter from U.S. Customers and Border Protection was assisting, along with Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks personnel

i have met him back when i used to run field trials. he ran dogs and is a veteranarian.
i will pray they find him safe and in good condition.

I have met him before he lives about 3 mi. from me , my nieghbor told he has been show signs of alltimers which I know is not spelled correctly but I do hope all turns out well.

Multimedia Watch The Video BILLINGS - The Rosebud County Sheriff said they have found the body of a missing hunter. Dale Tibbitts of Washington was found at about 11:30 Saturday morning. The sheriff said he died from an ATV accident about a half a mile south of the Long Fork Creek area. Tibits was 73.
