What does everyone prefer for late season archery ?

Last year I got my deer still hunting through timber. So I vote spot and stalk.

Typically I spot and stalk hunt when I'm archery hunting. Until I decide I can't kill a buck...then I just road hunt and kill a doe  :chuckle:

All of them.  I've killed elk in all 3 methods listed.  I've never killed a deer from a tree stand would sure like to change that this year.

I have killed deer out of blinds and tree stands or still hunting.  Got to get on this spot and stalk though.

Ive never killed anything. :chuckle: But I have. Treestand and blind. Plus Im very very sneaky.  :IBCOOL: So who knows how it will go for me and late archery.. More than likely skunked this year.

A lot of which technique to use depends on where you're hunting. Spot and stalk works good if it's open enough to spot but there's enough cover to make a successful stalk. In the thick timber or brush, not so much. Stands work good if animals are moving. Still hunting works good if animals are bedded or just holed up in good cover. Ground blinds are good in fairly open country, tree stands are better in thick brush. Easier to see down into brush than through it.

All depends on the terrain and vegetation and species. I have and continue to use any and all methods.

What specie? muleys Id prefer to be on the ground. But like said the terrain and the cover available is the determining factor
