Title: where are the bulls?

Also, I have seen a few in the back of trucks but not as many as last year.

Another one bit the dust today. He's a member on here so I'm sure we'll see those pics as soon as he gets it packed out.

Post by: crazypatty on October 24, 2013, 09:09:18 PM: I dropped a 5x5 yesterday in the 340 by Tamarack Springs (Observatory Tag). Smallest 5x5 rack I have ever seen, must have been one well fed Bull. Weighed 300lbs hanging at the butcher. Believe me, I hunted 3 days HARD and no Bulls, but saw a lot of fresh sign. My guess is it was so quite due to lack of general elk season hunters that they would hear me fairly easily even though i was being stealthy and they would just "walk off". Thats the only way to describe it, they would walk away. Dumb luck, I finally had two elk run parall to my truck and when I stepped into ambush ahead of them a 5x5 walked out and POP. Done. Ill try to post a pick soon.

I'm not sure if he's on here or not, so I will give it some time before I post the pic up. (I leave for camp today, so about 12 days seems about the right amount of time :chuckle:). This thread is turning into one big tease.
