Found this yesterday while out hunting for a BT. I need to meet this fellow next week.
-
Wow, he left his gun behind....wonder if he's packing another? :o Good luck
-
Hope you get him. I found a dandy rub line myself today. I have to wait until Nov. 27 to shoot it though
-
Looks like an elk rub. If it is a BT, he is BIG. Go find him.

Awfully low for a bull elk, a little too fresh for an elk I imagine.
-
Thats a buck rub boys! Things are lookin good. Just as excited as I was opening day. Maybe a tab bit more. Might drizzle tomorrow to boot! I wont be able to sleep!

Solid rub. Did u check it for hair. Almost every rub has a hair in it somewhere.
-
I love Seeing fresh sign around home like that, may not have seen a buck in the area all summer but other than trail cams the rubs are a sweet confirmation that love is in the air.

Definitely not an elk rub, and not necessarily a monster bt. Solid bt rub though.

Here's the biggest blacktail rub Ive ever found. It was at work a few years ago, thus the hard hat in the photo.

Did you ever see the buck that made that rub Tree killer? You should post a pic of "the rubbing post".

No, but that wasn't the only big rub in the area!
I have a LOT of pics of posts that bucks have rubbed over the years. Just recently started getting pics and videos of bucks working them over.

BT rub or something else? 20In off the ground.

I'd say its a blacktail rub
-
Out on a family hike and checked out some repeat rubs and we were lucky to get a glimpse of the big branched blacktail that created them. The kids and wife saw him walk slowly across the road @ 30yrds as I took pics of the rubs for you guy. I just caught site of him as he entered the woods. Family was excited and we just started the hike. Now you know why I took them here!

Are these really blacktail rubs??? I would have guessed bear??

Thats what i figured...
-
Yeah, those look like bear. Deer rubs seem to be a lot more shredded.
-
That takes a big bear to pass a set of keys like that!
-
Went up to an area I was in last year. Seen three rubs, kinda got me excited for late season. It was snowing like crazy so the women, kids, and I headed back to the vehicle and got back down the mountain. I will be headed back soon, hope to see more rubs.

Thats the plan. I had the Wife, boys and our new Springer with us last time. Snowing like crazy, so we left to get back to the vehicle and back down to rain. Didn't want to get stuck in the snow!
