Title: My 9 year olds first deer!
Post by: Swatson on October 31, 2013, 06:20:19 AM: This is my sons first year hunting and he just turned 9 on Saturday. We were able to convince momma to let him skip school on Monday for one last hunt. He took this deer with his 7mm-08 and when the deer fell, he yelled "dad, dad I just shot my first deer!" Then grabbed me and hugged me with tears of joy in his eyes. It was a pretty special moment for both of us! Definitley a day neither of us will ever forget. I have decided to get it mounted for him and it's now at Natures Way Taxidermy!

took my son out of school for hunting his 1st year too, now he always tries to get me to take him out hunting :chuckle:
