Title: Big O vs Discount tires
Post by: GEARHEAD on November 04, 2013, 12:35:16 PM: any good or bad opinions on these two tire shops.......yes i know les schwab is the best, but they are also the most, i have a specific tire im looking for that both of these two shops carry.

They special ordered the specific tire I wanted on the phone and then negotiated cheaper when I got to the store. Still not the cheapest, but darn close. They were the most convenient in Spokane.

thanks for the sales tax tip with Discount Tires on line order. So im thinking, i order them on line, then go to the dealer i was going to any way and have them mounted, is that how it works?

I used the local DT for mounting.....$19.95 per corner.
Yes, I had them shipped to my house.
BTW, I had $1000 worth of brand new tires sitting on my front porch in plain sight for who knows how many hours....Glad my neighborhood is less thefty.

Even internet prices. Toon in a print out for the tires I wanted and voila! They matched it. Won't go to schwabs again. And my brother in law even works for them. Lol

I just picked up 4 all season cooper tires for my suburban and was out the door with all the warrantys for a shade over $700 and I still have to send in the $50 mail in rebate. Plus if you go to the on in Smokey Point its right across the street from Buffalo Wild Wings. :chuckle:

Cannot believe the price for shoes these days, first time buying in more than 6 years

I've had these on two of my trucks. Rotate them, keep the air up to snuff and you'll really like them. I paid $810 for 285x70x17 10 plys from Discount 3 weeks ago. Free shipping to my door. The are a real good highway tire. I ran my first set for 4 years, but took them off in the winter. They had around 40000 miles with more to go before I sold the truck.

Think 50k easily or more. I really liked them on wet roads as well. I not a toyo mt fan. Open at2 tire is good for me. Discount stocks em. Like Discount more than Schwab.

I will say, I got a flat on my new truck and they claimed it could not be repaired. It was going to cost me an arm and a leg to replace, however, they happened to get my same tire in as a trade-in from someone buying new. Still had lots of tread left so got one at a reasonable price and switched it out as my spare. Saved me a couple hundred bucks.

I put these on my truck a couple weeks ago and they did great while up elk hunting. Too bad the elk were nonexistent in the Manastash.

after monday and tuesday even the calendar says Wednesday,Thursday and Friday.
