Title: Late Season Bear food sources
Post by: Rob on November 04, 2013, 02:06:07 PM
Trying to sneak in a few late season bear hunts before it is all over this year and trying to decide where best to focus my efforts.

This late in the season, what are bears focusing on as a food source?

Really any thing they can swallow at this time.

This weekend I found recently torn up stumps and ripe Himalayan black berries at 1000ft.
At 2600 ft I found both ripe and unripe Salal berries.

Other food sources could include late ripening fruit, mushrooms, fish, gutpiles and lost game.
