After spending a week in eastern WA in the early season for whitetail with no success (first year out last 7 with no deer over there), I come home to get a nice Blacktail buck at work. We think he is an older regresser buck but not for sure.

Nice job! Welcome to the site. Any story?

Well Done! Looks like a mature buck for sure. Nice body, bit of gray in face. Very typical rack for around here. Yeah there's gotta be a story. Something like I was hard at work looking at the hunting-washington website at work when I looked up and there stood this fine blacktail. So I snuck around my monitor..... Well you get the idea.Congrats!!!

I am a forester for a timber company so I guess I get the advantage sometimes. Sitting in my office at about 7AM and thought I will just run up to the 0100RD and see what will happen. Had not been seeing very many deer at all due to weather and normally we produce a lot of nice animals off the tree farm. Anyway I looked over a landing down into the bottom of a clearcut and seen him along a timber edge with in the first 10 minutes of shooting light. Had to make quick 100yd + shot as he was heading for the timber. Glad I was close to our office and got some guys to help because it was a nasty steep clearcut.

Good buck, doub the is a regresser by the looks of his face and bones. He'll def eat better anyway. Congrats.
