My diamondback binos were about 3 years old this season, and I could not get them to focus very good while hunting. I sent them in for repair, Vortex did not fix them, they sent me a brand new pair, now that is service. It only took 10 days, and that's including shipping time.

Sounds like leoupold warrenty

Love to hear this - I picked up a Vortex spotting scope this year and so far love it!
-
Did you have to call Vortex before you sent them in?
Just wondering as I have the 10x42 Diamondbacks and they are out of alignment, so I see double when using them. :o
-
Glad to hear it! I have the same bino's, and a red dot for my fun gun. Good equipment that doesn't break the bank.

I think you just fill out the product repair form below explaining what is wrong and they send it back fixed. :dunno:

Both Zen-Ray and Vortex have No-Fault, unconditional warranties. You can drive over them and they'll replace them. Awesome backing of their products.

I have a pair of 10x42 Sidewinders. They are about 7yrs old. They are finally showing their age and I've thought of sending them back. I would like to upgrade to a higher end pair. Will they give you the chance to upgrade or is it repair/replace only?

I cant say or talk enough about Vortex Optics in positive. Everyone in my family has Vortex, a bunch of my friends have vortex and if there is an opportunity for me to tell someone about Vortex Optics i do. They hands down have the BEST customer service in the Industry.
If you don't care about talking to someone, go ahead and fill out the paperwork and send your binos in and they'll take care of you, no questions asked. If not...i would recommend calling them. Tell them your story and you will build a relationship with the VORTEX family. Top notch. I call vortex just cuz i can...lol.... probably 4-5 times a year and talk to the guys about what there making, warranty crap, or just because I want to keep that relationship. I have only had to send in one pair of old binos my brother has, and like you said I had a replacement in less than 10 days...
Besides that there stuff is top notch, and there higher end optics like the viper and razor line are as good if not better in my opinion than the high dollar optics companies out there. It doesn't have some 2000$ green fancy bird or a big fat gold ring L with a reticle over it...but it says Vortex and has a killer, unbeatable unconditional warranty.
I DIG VORTEX. If i could be a Vortex sponsor I would be....I coasthunterjay approve this message...LOL :chuckle:

I sent in my Nomad spotting scope after elk hunting this fall because the focus knob was loose and wouldn't grasp so I couldn't focus it at all. Got it back within two weeks from when I sent it in and it works great again. I just ordered a Diamondback scope 4-12x40 to add to one of my rifles also. I love the quality for the money. And the warranty is as good as any, if not better. :twocents:

 for Vortex! Just picked up a second set of 10x42's, today....
-
Viper HD 10x42 binoculars are just as good as a set of EL's and cost 1/4 the price. Razors would be awesome but if your on a budget like me then the Vipers are fantastic.
-
best in the business. had a similar experience with my razors. Ive switched all my optics over to vortex

My Cabela's Euro HD 10x42's had the lens cap come off during elk season. I was heading out for deer immediately after elk season so I took them in to Cabela's in Lacey and they gave me a brand new pair with almost no questions asked. They were 3 years old when I traded them in. Saved my deer season!

I just bought the Vortex 1000 yard rangefinder and the biggest reason I chose Vortex was the unconditional warranty. Leopold only had a 1 year warranty and I've read about a lot of other units on the market having reliability issues after a year. Vortex is my choice.
-
Vortex are really great, they do stand behind there products I love my 12x 50 binos and my hunting partners all love there's as well
-
This is why all my hunting gear that I can get comes through vortex. Rangefinder, Binos, Spotting Scope, Tripods. Cant beat that kinda warrenty.
-
:yeah:
I lost the lens caps to my vortex binocs.
e-Mailed them and they sent me a new set pronto (no charge).

The only problem with Vortex is some of their optics are made in China. Such as the Diamondback bino's. And yes, I do own some and I'm somewhat ashamed to admit that I do own some. Although my excuse is I thought they were made in Japan when I bought them. Couldn't pass up the deal- $120 for 10x42's. But man I really hate supporting companies that make their products made in China.

Gotta do what you gotta do, It kind of balances out - Company has items made in china with unconditional life time warranty - Company makes items in america and has a conditional warranty.
