Title: In a Pear Tree...
Post by: nryche on November 09, 2013, 08:58:32 PM
Headed out today with my wife and a friend of mine for some upland hunting. I took the oldest of the shotguns I have. A pre 1968 JC Higgins bolt action 20g. Every time I think about selling this shotgun it bangs down another bird... Saw 9 birds for the day, but only shot at this one.

Nice bird.  I have a 12g jc higgins that was my dad's first shotgun (1950's vintage), but it has the polychoke.  It is surprising how fast a person can cycle that bolt.

Nice pics. Always fun to get out into the sagebrush.
